Nicola Matthews
National Contact Point for the New European Bauhaus

Nicola Matthews is the National Contact Point (NCP) for the New European Bauhaus, a new initiative of the European Commission, and is also a Senior Architect at the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage. Her responsibilities include delivery of a range of progressive policies for cultural heritage including contribution to the Regional Assemblies, the National Heritage Plan 2030 renewal and the development of the National Policy on Architecture. As part of the Open Method of Coordination (OMC) Working Group of Member States' experts, she contributed to the first EU architectural policy 'Towards a shared culture of Architecture'. As the National Contact Point for the New European Bauhaus (NEB), she will contribute to the design of implementation strategies for the NEB as well as regular reporting on progress on the NEB in Ireland.
